Barring discussions of what is the plural of crocus? The Friends of Heaton Moor Park were pleased to receive a delivery of purple crocus bulbs, or corms, from the Stockport Lamplighter Rotary Club.
And on a cold and frosty morning back in December 2022, we planted them – most appropriately – in the Rotary corner at the Elms Road entrance.
When these crocuses appear a bit later this year, they will be a reminder of the Rotary Club’s drive to eradicate polio in all parts of the world. For more details of this campaign, visit the Rotary Great Britain and Ireland web page.
