Getting Ready for Carols in the Park

Nov 29, 2021 | Thoughts about the park

Fast on the heels of the popular Halloween in the Park event, the Friends are now hard at work to ready the Carols in the Park event on Saturday, 18 December, 1-3pm. Carol in the Park has been going, rain, shine or snow since the 1997, with only one year off (2020) due to Covid restrictions.

We are pleased to announce that Santa will be in the open air the Park, but no grotto because of Covid safety concerns. Instead we are planning an Elf Trail for all to enjoy, with a Cadbury kid’s selection box as a prize.

Besses o’ th’ barn Brass Band will be plying us with Christmas tunes, with a chance to sing along with them – song sheets provided.

We will be serving the usual festive refreshments (mince pies with a hot drink, which could include mulled wine or ‘special hot chocolate’) through the pavilion hatch also for safety reasons.

Despite all efforts, we do not have a card machine, so please note this will be a cash only event. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
