On a rainy day like today, it’s lovely to look back on the Family Bowling Sundays held in August 2022, even the one on the exceptionally warm day!
The turnout for the three Sunday afternoons 7th, 14th and 21st August was wonderful and everyone attending seemed to enjoy themselves on the lovely crown bowling green or having a bit of refreshment in the shade outside the Park Pavilion.
The Friends are especially grateful to the ‘lady bowlers’ from the Heaton Moor Park Ladies Bowling Club. Three volunteers came along each Sunday to provide advice guidance to any novice players, and their help was much appreciated.
We hope to run the Family Bowling in the Park Sundays again next August. Thanks to all who came along and to the Friends (and some friends of Friends!) and lady bowlers who helped make the event so successful and fun.
